Outlook has reached a significant milestone with the opening of its e-waste recycling facility in Officer. The facility which is located at 4 Hickson Road was constructed at Outlook’s Tony Fitzgerald Enterprise Park precinct, an 8 acre parcel of land that was named in honour of Outlook’s former CEO.
Officially opened by The Hon. Lily D'Ambrosio MP, Minister for Energy, Environment and Climate Change, the project is the result of many years of planning and hard work which included just under $3m in capital investment of which $500,000 was received from Sustainability Victoria.
At the opening, CEO Sam Sondhi said "from our perspective this is all about achieving our mission and our mission is creating a society that is inclusive. It's about people with a disability having real opportunities to work inside an inclusive workforce. This is exciting in what this represents for us and the people we serve."
The Officer site is open for e-waste drop off Monday-Thursday between 8.30am – 4.00pm but closed on public holidays.
See e-waste drop off locations for more information.
