Why have International Workers’ Memorial Day? Globally, the International Labour Organisation estimates that 2.34 million people die each year from work-related incidents and diseases.

International Workers’ Memorial Day is held on 28 April. According to Safe Work Australia as at 14 April this year, 44 Australian workers have been killed in 2015 while at work. As a sign of solidarity and Outlook’s commitment to Occupational Health & Safety, we asked staff to put out a pair of work shoes. Here are some of the photos of shoes. We also marked the day in our office with a healthy morning tea and a minute’s silence.
